TCP Eco Solar and GH2

TCP has been working in collaboration with a number of hydrogen industry experts to produce a short film that looks at the use of hydrogen technology today in the UK, promoting the huge benefits that hydrogen technology brings and shows that hydrogen technology is not the fuel of the future, but the fuel of today.

In order to the meet the climate change target of net zero by 2050, we need a tangible resilient alternative to natural gas and oil. This short film provides a new and unseen window into the use of hydrogen technology today in the UK.

At last year’s COP26, the UK Government committed to a range of initiatives to meet Net Zero targets by 2050. On 7th April 2022, the UK Government launched the Energy Security Strategy, which sets out how the UK will accelerate homegrown power for greater energy independence.  The ambition for low carbon hydrogen production capacity has been doubled, up to 10GW of by 2030, subject to affordability and value for money. This hydrogen will be used across the economy, helping to decarbonise vital industrial sectors and provide flexible energy across power, transport and potentially heat.

Since 2013, TCP has been developing a range hydrogen fuel-cell applications as an eco-friendly alternative to other fuels such as diesel. Very much ahead of the curve, the TCP ECO hydrogen fuel-cell equipment has been available to hire since 2015.

TCP ECO recognised that as hydrogen fuel is fast becoming a mainstream option for a greener future. There is much work to be done to educate and raise awareness about the benefits that hydrogen brings.

TCP ECO has been working in collaboration with a number of hydrogen experts to produce a short film to illustrate current deployment of hydrogen and fuel cells both across the UK and in a range of stationary and mobility applications. The film explores how much energy is being produced and provided in the UK today, the infrastructure that already exists, along with comment from the people driving this industry forward.
